At Training Camp, we believe education is a critical component to economic recovery. Our SteppingStone initiative was created to help facilitate and accelerate recovery – while helping those in need along the way. In this section of our site, individuals can find information on how to take advantage of free and reduced-cost training opportunities that will help get individual careers, and our economy, back on track.

The SteppingStone Program includes the following opportunities for free and low-cost training resources:

Free educational opportunities including training webinars, class seats, and additional opportunities.
Free hotel accommodations and exams on most courses are available to unemployed trainees who must fund the cost of training themselves. This minimizes the cost of training while providing a strong incentive for students to participate in Training Camp’s award-winning, on-site, boot-camp style training.
Free exam vouchers on any of Training Camp’s Sun accelerated courses including Sun Java SJCP and Solaris 10 SCSA through our partnership with Sun Microsystems.
Special GSA contract pricing extends the discounted GSA price to trainees who are unemployed and participating in state-assisted retraining programs through the Workforce Investment Act and other retraining benefit programs. This expands the number of Training Camp programs accessible to unemployed trainees at a significantly reduced price.
Microsoft Elevate America – Microsoft is offering training vouchers for those who qualify through state agencies.

Introduction to Windows 7

Join us for this complimentary event and get ahead of the game. The SteppingStone training program focuses on increasing marketability and preparing professionals to re-enter the workforce with the necessary skills and certifications.

This training event is for IT professionals who are interested in expanding their knowledge base and technical skills about Windows 7 Client. In this course, students learn how to install, upgrade, and migrate to Windows 7 client. Students then configure Windows 7 client for network connectivity, security, maintenance, and mobile computing.

Attendees of this exclusive event receive the following:

Full copy of the Windows 7 Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC) - (Course 6292A: Installing and Configuring Windows 7 Client)
$700 off and one free Microsoft exam voucher going towards any future Training Camp

Who is eligible to participate in the SteppingStone program?
Anyone can take advantage of many of the SteppingStone program opportunities. However, there are specific discounts and opportunities that only apply if you are currently unemployed. Fill out the registration form for the SteppingStone program and we will contact you will further details on the opportunities for which you are eligible.
What Training Camp courses and certifications are available through SteppingStone?
All of our accelerated learning courses are available through SteppingStone. There are some restrictions that may apply to specific classes.
Where is SteppingStone available?
Training Camp offers SteppingStone instructor-led courses in 10 locations across the U.S. and Canada. The online training resources are available anywhere, 24-7.
What types of training are available?
Through SteppingStone, Training Camp offers the following types of training:
- Classroom-based instructor-led training in one of our 10 locations across the U.S. and in Canada.
- Online instructor-led training.
- Self-paced training modules.
How do I sign up for SteppingStone?
To register for SteppingStone, please fill out the registration form. We will then contact you with all of the programs that you qualify for and how to get started.
