Course Description
Our 3-day CompTIA Security+ Training Course covers the most current knowledge and
skills required for IT professionals working with security concepts, tools, and
procedures to react to security incidents. As an added bonus, our Comprehensive
Online Learning Library (included) covers the new Microsoft MTA Security Fundamentals,
which is designed to provide candidates with an assessment of their knowledge of
fundamental security concepts.
How will this course prepare me for certification?
This boot-camp-style course is a lab-intensive program covering a wide range of
topics from current known threats and vulnerabilities to fundamentals of cryptography.
We provide additional online access to interactive training that features audio
segments, lesson activities, additional resources, and virtual labs for an exciting
and effective training process. In addition, we deliver the CompTIA Security+ certification
exam on-site at the end of the course so students can achieve certification quickly.
How many questions are on the CompTIA Security+ Exam?
The most current CompTIA Security+ Exam, SY0-301, has a maximum of 100 questions.
The passing score for this exam is 750, on a scale of 100-900. This exam is available
in English, Korean, German, Japanese languages.

The CompTIA Security+ Certification Advisory Committee developed the Security+ exam
objectives with focus on the needs of the modern IT security professional. Organizations
that employ CompTIA Security+ certified staff include Hitachi Information Systems,

such as General Dynamics and Northrop Grumman.
CompTIA Security+ is one of the options for certifications required by the U.S.
Department of Defense, for military personnel or military contractors engaged in
information assurance activities.
Prerequisites
It is recommended that students have two years of technical networking experience,
with an emphasis on security.

for a period of up to one year; free of charge. Students will only be responsible
