Why should I take both the A+ and Network+ together?

As with many vendor certifications, some of the core concepts overlap. Having an understanding of IT terminology, networking configuration and connectivity is an important part of any IT professional's knowledge base. In taking both A+ and Network+ courses together, you gain thorough knowledge of these concepts in a shorter period of time.

What has been updated in the A+ and Network+ certifications?

The Network+ exam has added topics, such as virtual networking, basic security and detailed coverage of the seven-layer OSI model. The new 800 Series A+ Exams now cover more information on mobile device support and virtualization, with a stronger focus on troubleshooting. The 800 Series A+ exams have also added performance-based questions to better simulate today's ever changing IT environments. Want to learn more?
