Course Description

This instructor-led Cisco CCENT Training Camp is designed specifically to prepare students for their Cisco CCENT certification. This entry level course equips students with 4 days of intensive, hands-on Cisco Training, followed by on-site delivery of the CCENT certification exam (ICND1 2.0). Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician (CCENT) validates the ability to successfully fulfill entry-level network support job requirements, and is the starting point for many successful careers in networking.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course. However, it is recommended that students have basic networking experience.

Learning Objectives Include:

Describe how networks function, identifying major components
Describe the OSI reference model
How to use the host-to-host packet delivery process
Describe issues related to increasing traffic on an Ethernet LAN and identify switched LAN technology solutions to Ethernet networking issues
Describe the reasons for extending the reach of a LAN and the methods that can be used, focusing on RF wireless access
Describe the reasons for connecting networks with routers and how routed networks transmit data through networks using TCP / IP
Describe the function of WANs and the major devices of WANs
Configure PPP encapsulation, static and dynamic routing, PAT, and RIP routing
Use the command-line interface to discover neighbors on the network and manage the router start up and configuration
