Cloud Technology Professional Course Description

This 3-day Authorized Cloud Technology Professional program is designed specifically to prepare students for successful completion of the Cloud Technology Professional Exam requirements. During the course, students will explore fundamental terminology, concepts, characteristics and models pertaining to modern cloud computing platforms and cloud-based services, along with business metrics and coverage of SLAs. This course covers a range of topics related to cloud computing mechanisms, cloud security threats and controls, and essential cloud technologies. Also addressed are testing, cloud storage, industry standards, and emerging technology trends.

An understanding of fundamental cloud computing concepts and terminology are second nature to the Cloud Technology Professional, as well as the advantages, disadvantages, and general implications of using and combining common cloud computing mechanisms and cloud security mechanisms.

The Cloud Technology Professional must possess the ability to associate cloud computing mechanisms to the realization of specific characteristics, benefits, and goals assigned to cloud environments and cloud-based solutions. Conversely, the Cloud Technology Professional needs to be able to identify the common threats and challenges to cloud services and supporting IT resources, in order to leverage cloud security mechanisms and, when necessary, moderate the use of cloud computing mechanisms.
