Training Camp Honored as Microsoft's Worldwide Partner of the Year Top Finalist.
Training Camp Counted Among Top Finalists for the 2010 Microsoft Partner Awards in the Category Citizenship Partner of the Year
Trevose, PA, 7/1/2010 -
Today, Training Camp announced it has been selected as a finalist for the Microsoft Partner Awards in the Citizenship Partner of the Year award category.
“I’m so proud of our organization and all the hard work we have invested to earn this recognition,” said Training Camp CEO Christopher Porter. “Our SteppingStone program has opened my eyes to our ability to make a difference in our community. While being selected as a finalist is a wonderful achievement, the ability to positively impact so many lives through this program, now and in the future, may truly represent the best reward of all.”
Awards will be presented in a number of categories, with winners and finalists chosen from a pool of almost 3,000 entrants worldwide. The Citizenship Partner of the Year Award honors exceptional partners who have helped strengthen the social and economic opportunities in their communities by making technology and the development of technology skills more accessible. This award recognizes Training Camp for fostering innovation and creating an inspirational, unique, and lasting positive impact in their local community.
“Congratulations to the 2010 Partner Award finalists for delivering such creative and superior Microsoft solutions and services,” said Allison Watson, Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft Corp. “It’s incredible to see the level of expertise our partners continue to exhibit as they create and deliver innovative solutions and services to grow their businesses, meet customer needs, and drive down costs.”
Training Camp launched its unique SteppingStone program in early 2009 as a means of providing IT professionals who had been laid off as a result of a souring economy with requisite, relevant skills that would be in-demand by a tightening job market. Participants in SteppingStone events have acquired skills, training and certification for free or at a dramatically reduced cost. Combined with a heightened sense of confidence in their newly acquired skills and knowledge, Training Camp has played a major role in returning these professionals to the industry with highly desirable and competitive IT skills – ones they may leverage to find a new job or secure their existing one.
Training Camp’s exclusive boot-camp-style accelerated learning program enables students to learn faster and retain information longer. Its hallmark full-immersion (Lecture|Lab|Review)TM program mixes visual, auditory and kinesthetic-tactual delivery systems to provide the most efficient and effective way to learn. The company has been recognized by leading IT industry professional organizations and standards bodies, including Redmond Magazine, SC Magazine and Windows IT Pro Magazine.
The Microsoft Partner Awards recognize Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions over the past year.
